Background & Clinical Experience
Sarmini was a Research Assistant at Developmental Dynamics Lab in her University where she worked closely with young children and babies, observing the interpersonal relationship between mother and child. While pursuing her Bsc in Norwich, she also worked closely with secondary schools in the area to raise awareness of mental health amongst adolescents by conducting workshops at school assemblies. Sarmini has also engaged in mentoring teens through their difficult phases.
Sarmini has undergone a Social Thinking training course, and, supervised by Dr. Ronina Stevens, aids her clients in developing social competencies, self-regulation, social problem-solving abilities, and much more. She is also trained in basic Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Sarmini is passionate about learning and experiencing new things, this prompted her to learn basic sign language. Sarmini also has a strong passion for writing short stories and would like to work towards publishing a book one day. Outside of work, Sarmini occasionally babysits kids, taking them out to do fun activities on the weekends.
