Nyein Nyein is a certified Clinical Psychologist. Her professional qualifications include Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology (Honours) and Master in Clinical Psychology obtained at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She is a member of Singapore Psychological Society.
Background & Experience
She has ten years of experience in the field of mental health. She strongly believes in early intervention, committed care and genuineness. She spent a large proportion of her early professional life working with child clients in a community outreach team based in National University Hospital. In the last five years, as an in-house psychologist in Zenith Medical Clinic, she caters to the psychological needs of both adults and children. She is now a proud member of Thrive Family.
Her expertise includes treating mood disorders in adults and children, managing behaviour difficulties in children, and cognitive and educational assessments. Nyein uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Functional Analytic Psychotherapy and Compassion Focus Therapy.
Nyein is also passionate about teaching and mentoring. She occasionally conducts clinical training for trainee psychologists in NUS and staff in children’s homes.
She can be seen struggling to catch her three boys at Punggol Waterway point during her days off.
