Background & Experience
Mahima is trained in Schema Therapy, Gottman’s Couples Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Regression, Emotional Efficacy Therapy (EET), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT tapping), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Clinical Supervision and Crisis response. Mahima has over a decade of clinical experience in psychological assessment and therapy.
Intrinsically empathic and warm, Mahima sees hope in each problem story and has a client-centered, action-oriented therapeutic style. She believes in everyone’s inherent capacity for happiness and wholeness. She endeavors to empower people to improve their quality of life in meaningful ways and evolve into the best versions of themselves – in an attuned, safe, and nurturing space. She has a special interest in Inner Child work – working with core issues and significant past experiences to facilitate deep healing.
Mahima started her career in India in the private sector where she worked at psychology clinics and set up her own practice. In Singapore, she began work with a multinational EAP provider and then continued with the private practice where she has been working with clients from across the globe.
Mahima provides consultations in English and Hindi. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults and has worked with trauma, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, grief, body image, relationship issues, psychosomatic concerns, adjustment, self-esteem, communication, anger and stress management, burnout, and personal development among other areas. She also does personality assessments to aid with diagnostic insights and treatment planning.
She loves teaching and has conducted customized workshops for various institutions and the public. She has also worked part-time as an external counselor at an international school and a university in Singapore.
Personal
Mahima treasures her role as a mother and is learning how to navigate life and parenting in a different country while honoring her roots. She dabbles in art in her free time and is an avid learner.
