Background & Experience

Lea has over ten years of experience working in the National Health Service in the UK. Prior to moving to Singapore, she worked as a Clinical Psychologist in a national specialist outpatient service; a leader in research, training and the clinical treatment of anxiety disorders. There she gained extensive experience in delivering evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to adults with an array of anxiety disorders at all levels of severity, including treatment-resistant obsessive compulsive disorder.

Alongside this role, she also worked as a Course Tutor for the Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience in London; a world leader for education and research in mental health. This involved providing training and expert high quality supervision in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to future psychological therapists.

CBT specialism

Lea has a specialist interest and expertise in offering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to adults with anxiety disorders, including obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety, panic disorder, health anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, hoarding disorder and specific phobias. She also has extensive experience of providing clinical supervision in both an individual and group format to fully qualified therapists and therapists undergoing clinical training.

Having worked in a service that developed and extensively researched treatment models for various anxiety disorders, Lea believes in the importance of providing therapy that is fully evidence based and subject to high levels of quality control. She also values working collaboratively with clients throughout their therapy journey.
