Master of Psychology (Clinical)
Durgah is a certified Clinical Psychologist. Her professional qualifications include
Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology (Honours) obtained at Nanyang
Technological University and Master in Clinical Psychology obtained at the University
of Singapore (NUS).
Background & Experience
Durgah’s past experience in Singapore’s public mental health settings includes working with individuals who experienced mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and body dysmorphic disorder. She further worked with children/adolescents, families and their schools to provide therapy and psychological assessments in a community-based team.
Durgah uses an eclectic approach, guided by a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, DNA-V, Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, Compassion focused therapy, and Incredible Years (Parenting).
Durgah values adopting a client-centered approach and is passionate about empowering clients in a validating, non-judgmental and collaborative environment.
Durgah enjoys traveling and indulging her whims to take on new hobbies. She has previously lived in Seattle and Berlin. These experiences have given her an insight into challenges that arise from moving, transitions and adjusting to new environments.
