Background & Experience

Anna is currently completing a Masters in Counselling at Monash University, Australia. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Education Studies from Monash University (first class hons) and a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki. She is a Co-Active Coach by the Co-Active Training Institute.

She is Certified in advanced psychological first aid and child and infant first aid.

Anna works as a volunteer at the National Care Hotline in Singapore, a line set up to support people with emotional distress due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously she has worked as a volunteer with children in Nepal and the UAE to support their learning.

During her professional career, she has worked both in the public and private sectors in various roles.

Approach

Having lived abroad in different countries and cultures, Anna understands the challenges in living outside of your comfort zone. She has an understanding of various cultures, languages, and multicultural environments. As a mother, she also knows the challenges in combining professional and private life with motherhood.

Personal

Born and raised in Belgium, Anna is originally from Finland. Anna has spent nearly 30 years living abroad in Belgium, France, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and now Singapore. Anna is fluent in Finnish, Swedish, English, and French and understands basic Dutch and Arabic. She has a particular interest in the Arab culture and language. She loves travelling and meeting people from different cultures. Her hidden talent is backgammon, and her most recent hobby is playing mahjong!

She lives in Singapore with her family since 2016.
